PODOSTEMACEAE IN AMERICA
According to Cook & Rutishauser (2007) there are 23 podostemaceous genera occurring in America. With the exception of Tristicha all of them occur exclusively in America, including the monotypic genus Weddellina that belongs to a subfamily on its own. Go to “Keys – Introduction” in order to get an identification key and short descriptions of all American genera. Tom Philbrick and his collaborators are on the way to describe additional genera (and species) mainly in South America. |
