I am interested in the origin and evolution of plant traits. In the current post-genomic era, the utilization of extensive genomic information, coupled with development biology experiments, allows us to unravel more biological mysteries. During my M.Agri. studies, my primary focus was on the phenotypic analysis of floral organs in horticultural plants and population genomics, as well as comparative transcriptomics. In the initial phase of my Ph.D., I will explore convergent evolution in sporophyte structures using Bryophyte plants as a model, integrating genomics, transcriptomics, and transformation experiments. In the later stages, I plan to delve into the molecular mechanisms of other evolutionary patterns and the evolutionary rules at the genomic level.
