Research Interests

I am a PhD student supervised by Dr. Léa Frachon (Oberassistentin, ISEB) and Dr. Simon Aeschbacher (Independent Research Fellow, Department of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies, UZH) as part of the URPP program "Evolution in action".

I obtained two Master degrees, a first one in Functional and Evolutionary Ecology (AgroParisTech, Paris, France) and a second one in Genetics, Genomics and Evolution (Université Paris-Saclay, Paris, France). During my two Master's projects, I studied the common demographic history of three neotropical butterflies displaying strong color pattern convergence (likely due to mimicry). By aligning RAD sequences and measuring classical ecological summary statistics, I (1) inferred the demographic evolution of populations of those species, (2) compared these summary statistics to simulated statistics, using Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC), and (3) identified the signatures of past or current introgression.

During my PhD thesis, I will track over generations the phenotypic and genetics changes observed during a loss of wild pollinators in Brassica rapa plant. Combining phenotypic characterization, pollinator observations, SNPs analysis and mathematical simulations, this project will help us to better understand how the current loss of wild pollinators can shape the ecological and genomics evolution of agronomic and wild flowering plants.
