My passion for plant evolution, systematics and taxonomy emerged early during my Bachelor's studies. I am particularly interested in high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatic analyses, which have become central to my research. While I have developed a keen interest in ferns and lycophytes over the past few years, I am now focusing on deepening my expertise in these fascinating plant groups. For my PhD research, I am investigating the evolutionary history of the fern genus Dryopteris in Eurasia using genomic data. This work aims to uncover the complex relationships within this genus and contribute to a deeper understanding of fern evolution.
