During my PhD, I will study the effects of climate change and varying pollinator/herbivore networks on plant evolution. To achieve this, I will perform evolution experiments in a greenhouse setting, with three pollinator/herbivore species and two fast-cycling plant species. I will manipulate the presence of a key pollinator (thus mimicking invasion/extinction dynamics) and of a pollinating herbivore (acting as a context-dependent mutualist/antagonist) while the presence of a third pollinator remains constant. By using two close plant species, I aim to assess the role of hybridization on rapid plant adaptation.
